Everyone has been in contact with an Apple device, but not a lot of people are aware of the ingenious business model behind the success of the world’s most valuable company.
A few weeks before the expected presentation of its new flagship smartphone, CEO Tim Cook explained, “we sell devices that are way too expensive.”
“Getting people to spend a lot of money on things they don’t need is a vision everyone in our company stands for”, Cook adds. “Just build something people already have and ask for more money than people actually have. We believe there will always be a demand for things that are expensive, just because they are expensive.”
Apple is extensively researching new ways to make a profit, now that its iPhone sales are declining. “We are talking to grocery stores, so people can buy more of our devices, instead of unnecessary items like bread or milk.”
